The ARRIS HomeAssure Self-Service app will allow SaskTel subscribers to see which devices are on their home Wi-Fi network, and identify weak Wi-Fi signal locations. It also allows users to improve signal quality through optimal network extender placement, as well as set internet access rules for authorized devices on the network. Together with ARRIS’s leading broadband gateways and extenders, the ARRIS HomeAssure solution works to cover homes in fast, reliable Wi-Fi, while creating operational and support efficiencies for SaskTel.

“We’re excited to work with ARRIS to bring our customers a top-tier Wi-Fi experience that allows them to make the most of their internet connection, everywhere in their home,“ said Doug Burnett, SaskTel president and CEO. “This new technology solution also has the added benefit of creating new efficiencies for SaskTel that will help us to manage our operating and support costs for internet service going forward.”

SaskTel will use the HomeAssure solution in concert with the following ARRIS offerings to maximize Wi-Fi performance and coverage: ARRIS® NVG448BQ residential gateways, VAP4641 wireless extenders, GPE2001 G.hn extenders, and the ECO Self-Service cloud-based Wi-Fi management and mobile app. The ARRIS broadband gateways and extenders will dynamically optimize Wi-Fi performance throughout the home based on coverage, usage and mobility. The ARRIS VAP4641 wireless extender was the first Wi-Fi CERTIFIED EasyMesh™ solution on the market, allowing it to work seamlessly in a unified Wi-Fi network.

“What makes a great Wi-Fi experience is having the right combination of technology inside and outside of the broadband gateway,” said Larry Robinson, senior vice president and segment leader, Customer Premises Equipment at CommScope. “With the ARRIS HomeAssure solution, subscribers don’t need to wait for a technical service visit in the event of an issue. They can resolve the issue themselves, instantly. Our work with SaskTel goes beyond fast and reliable Wi-Fi, by taking a modern and holistic approach to providing the best Wi-Fi experience to broadband subscribers.”
